Knowledge Bank partners with Propflo to help mortgage advisors benefit from green home improvements
Barnsley, 17th September, 2024. Knowledge Bank has partnered with Propflo to offer its brokers access to a one-stop-shop for green home improvements. Mortgage advisors can access the entire Propflo platform including the ‘GreenVal’ tool that takes the complexity out of engaging people in green home upgrades whilst passing on incentives for mortgage advisors.
With £250bn investment required to bring UK properties up to standard and 80,000 homes needing to be retrofitted per month, it is a key priority for the country. Mortgage advisors are crucial to raising awareness amongst homeowners about green home improvements given that they account for over 80% of mortgage lending, but have limited time on their hands and limited incentives. The Propflo platform helps mortgage advisors by engaging customers for them and passes on commission from improvement suppliers that could range between £350 and over £725 per property on the Basic and Standard tiers
The GreenVal retrofit tool
Mortgage advisors can, for example, send the GreenVal tool to their customers or feature it on their website so they can:
● View the short and long term benefits and costs associated with making a property more energy-efficient
● Get quotes for a wide range of home improvements, from accredited local and national suppliers
● Explore low-cost and do-it-yourself improvement opportunities, available for direct purchase
● Gain insight into the impact a property can have on personal wellbeing, by rating contributing factors such as thermal comfort, air quality, and financial stability.
